Dr. Kutner is a psychologist by training and a health and science journalist by profession. His experience also includes TV reporter and documentary producer, syndicated New York Times columnist (“Parent & Child”), magazine columnist and writer, radio talk show host, Harvard Medical School faculty for 20 years (Director of the Center for Mental Health and Media), freelancer, author of six commercially published books, a National Emmy and other hardware, executive director of a large educational foundation, university administrator, sailing instructor with a U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Master’s License. He holds an AB from Oberlin College, a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, and completed a fellowship in clinical psychology at the Mayo Clinic.
