Benjamin Druss

As the first Rosalynn Carter Chair in Mental Health at Emory University, Dr. Benjamin Druss is working to build linkages between mental health, physical health, and public health. Dr. Druss’ research and advocacy work focus on adults with serious mental illness treated in the public mental health sector. Dr. Druss serves on the Editorial Boards of JAMA Psychiatry, the American Journal of Psychiatry, and General Hospital Psychiatry, and edits Psychiatric Services’ Integrated Care Column.

Dr. Druss has been a member of the Carter Center Mental Health Task Force since 2003 and the Journalism Advisory Board since 2004. His interests include mental health policy, how research findings are translated into the media, and in the changing roles for mental health journalists in the evolving media landscape.
