Maryam Al-Badr is a junior at Northwestern University in Qatar studying journalism. In 2018, she launched a blog dedicated to reporting on psychology and its latest developments, which sparked her interest in mental health in the Arab region. She plans to complete a residency at SciDev in 2020 to gain further insight into how to report science to the general public.
