Emily can offer advice on reporting in refugee camps, mental health and neuroscience research as well as clinical trials.

Emily is a contributing correspondent for Science. She has a master’s degree in science writing from Johns Hopkins University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology Studies with a focus in neuroscience from Brown University. Between stints as a backpacking and river guide, she got hooked on science writing as an intern at High Country News. In addition to brain research she loves writing about anthropology and environmental science.
