What should you talk about during your mentorship session?
Some tips to make the most your fellowship year:
- Plan ahead. What topic are you interested in? What are your challenges? What do you need to know in order to complete your project?
- Be respectful of your mentor’s time. Mentorship is voluntary, and mentors are busy journalists and mental health experts. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give them advanced notice.
- End your session with a game plan. Identify next steps, set a deadline for execution or follow-up.
